Known for its wide variety of heartfelt and relatable content that resonates with audiences of all ages, Sony SAB is all set to add another compelling story to its content slate with its upcoming family drama, ‘Itti Si Khushi’, set in the heart of Mumbai. The show stars talented actor Varun Badola in a pivotal role as Suhas Diwekar — a deeply flawed yet layered father who has a bittersweet presence in his daughter Anvita’s (Sumbul Touqeer Khan) journey.

Itti Si Khushi follows the life of a 21-year-old girl, Anvita Diwekar, the eldest of six siblings, who becomes the unexpected anchor of her broken home. With a father lost to alcohol and a mother who abandoned them, Anvita takes on the role of caregiver and protector, sacrificing her dreams to hold her family together.

Talking about his character, Varun Badola shares, “Suhas is a man who’s constantly escaping responsibility, yet he isn’t entirely heartless. It’s a delicate balance to portray someone who isn’t a typical antagonist, but whose failures have had a deep impact on his children. It’s a very layered character; one moment, he frustrates you, the next, he breaks your heart.”
