Salman Khan was accompanied by a strong security detail as he arrived at Shera’s residence. On stepping out of his vehicle, he shared a consoling hug with Shera, who greeted him at the entrance. Salman then proceeded inside to pay his respects, with moments of his arrival and departure recorded by onlookers and shared widely across social media platforms.
Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, announced the sad news of his father’s passing on his social media, expressing heartfelt sorrow and remembrance.
Shera’s Professional Journey and Relationship with Salman Khan
Shera has been Salman Khan’s trusted personal bodyguard and head of security since 1995. In addition to safeguarding the superstar, Shera runs Tiger Security, a reputable firm that has provided protection to various celebrities, including international star Justin Bieber during his concert in Mumbai in 2017.
Before entering the security field, Shera was a bodybuilder, winning the prestigious Mumbai Junior title in 1987 and placing second in the Mr Maharashtra Junior competition in 1988. He transitioned to the role of a professional bodyguard in the early 1990s, forging a close, loyal bond with Salman that transcends professional boundaries.
