We know that Aamir Khan is sporting a bald look in the second half of the Ghajini remake. Now, Mira Nair has convinced Amitabh Bachchan to sport a bald pate in her
adaptation of Gregory Roberts's Shantaram.
In the film, Bachchan plays an underworld don Kader Bhai while Johny Depp essays the role of Shantaram. Although Bachchan was a little apprehensive about his bald
avatar, Mira Nair somehow managed to convinced him.
The film will be shot in Mumbai, Australia and China.
Leading men in Hollywood never think twice before going bald for a role, but in Bollywood, bald pates are usually restricted to the bad guys. Remember Kulbhushan
Kharbanda as Shakaal in Shaan?
The late Amrish Puri too donned a distinct bald crust in several films where he played the baddie. And, of course, the famous Shetty, who designed stunts in the '70s and
also played henchman to the villains. But not anymore! Seems, Bollywood's leading men have decided not to feel any shame in going plain!
