The 13th edition of Rajnigandha presents Jagran Film Festival (JFF), the world’s largest travel
film festival, continued its celebration of Indian Cinema in Delhi from September 4th to 7th,
2025, with a vibrant line-up that included screenings such as Tanvi The Great directed by
Anupam Kher and Between Classrooms and Cameras offering fresh perspectives on young
voices in cinema.
On Day 3, acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat led a powerful masterclass titled "The Stillness That
Shakes the Screen," offering insights into his craft and the art of performance. Known for
bringing depth and honesty to roles across film and digital platforms, Ahlawat reflected on his
journey of playing characters often older than his own age and shared his perspective on the
importance of auditions.
Reflecting on his own journey, Jaideep Ahlawat shared: “In the beginning, I was very surprised
to see that many actors, even in their regular lives, are always dressed up whether they’re going
to work or just to the mall. But look at how I’m sitting right now. For me, it feels like extra effort,
and I get irritated when I have to get ready without any reason. I feel most comfortable in
simple clothes like jeans and a kurta. That’s what I prefer. Otherwise, it feels like an unnecessary burden because I have to spend so much time and energy on it. So, I just leave it and keep things simple.”
With screenings, conversations, and premieres bringing together filmmakers, storytellers, and
audiences, JFF continues to create a vibrant space for dialogue around cinema and culture.
Catch the 13th edition of Jagran Film Festival in Delhi from September 4th to 7th, 2025, and
be part of a celebration where cinema goes beyond entertainment to inspire dialogue, reflection, and connection.
I feel most comfortable in simplicity: Jaideep Ahlawat at Jagran Film Festival 2025!
