Pyumori Mehta enters Sony SAB's Itti Si Khushi as Urvashi, Virat's status-conscious mother!
Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi traces the inspiring journey of Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), who faces life’s challenges with courage, resilience, and hope while raising her siblings. With a father like Suhas (Varun Badola), whose reckless debts and lack of support constantly pull the family into turmoil, Anvita is compelled to step up and shoulder responsibilities far beyond her age. Amidst these struggles, her determination and unwavering spirit become the anchor that holds the family together. In recent episodes, Virat (Rajat Verma), Anvita’s love interest, has been hiding his true identity, leaving her alone during the dance contest and trying to stop Sanjay (Rishi Saxena), her childhood friend, from exposing him.

Adding further depth to the narrative, seasoned actor Pyumori Mehta will be seen essaying the role of Virat’s mother, Urvashi a rich, socially ambitious woman who values wealth, class, and status over emotions. Strong-willed, sharp-tongued, and manipulative, Urvashi has a dominating presence, often exerting control over Virat’s decisions. For her, maintaining social barriers and living on her own terms are non-negotiable, and her possessive love for her son makes her a formidable force in his life.

Speaking about her role, Pyumori Mehta shares, “When I first read about Urvashi, I instantly felt she was a mother very different from the ones we’ve all seen around us, loving, but so possessive that she ends up controlling her child’s life. She’s proud yet deeply insecure, and that mix makes her fascinating to play. For me, the most interesting part is how her presence will completely shake up Virat and Anvita’s world. I’m eager for audiences to witness how her entry adds new layers of conflict and emotion to their journey.”

Tune in to watch Itti Si Khushi from Monday to Saturday at 9 PM only on Sony SAB
