Not too many people know the talented TV actress Manasi Joshi is Sharman's sister. She is extremely proud of him because despite the presence of talented Irrfan Khan he managed to stand out in "Metro".

In fact, the entire Joshi family saw "Metro" en masse.

"I'm so proud of Sharman. Though Irrfan is the best of the cast in 'Metro', Sharman holds his own. He has come quite a way and we're all proud of him," Manasi told.

Manasi, who worked in the serials "Saya" and "Kkusum", belongs to a family of seasoned theatre actors.

The celebrated theatre and film actor Arvind Joshi is Manasi and Sharman's father while Pravin Joshi is their uncle. In fact, her uncle's daughter Purvi is also a popular TV actress.

"You can't step out in the entertainment business and not run into one of us," joked Manasi. While Manasi is married to Rohit Roy, Sharman's wife Prerna is actor Prem Chopra's daughter.

"Sharman and I manage to spend a lot of time together because Rohit and he are very fond of each other. I'm also very close to Sharman's wife. Not just that, Sharman's little daughter and mine are very attached to one another," said the family-oriented actress who last acted in "Kkusum".

"Though I've been around for a long time I've done very little work on television - just four serials in all," said Manasi who will be seen in Sanjay Gupta's "Alibaug".

"After marriage and baby I'm doing my first film 'Alibaug', and that too with my husband. I've never acted with Rohit before, though we did a couple of ads together for Prahlad Kakkad at the beginning of our career.

"And we did 'Nach Baliye' together last year. That was a reality show. And now 'Alibaug' is a very realistic film. In a way our screen roles are helping us to stay real."

Manasi's big screen debut is further facilitated by the fact that many of her co-stars in the film are her friends.

"Suddhanshu Pande, Samir Soni, my husband Rohit and I hang out together. Even Sanjay Suri is a dear old friend. And we're all together in 'Alibaug'."

And then comes Manasi's biggest bonding factor.

"We're all a big bunch of Arians in 'Alibaug'. Sanjay Gupta, my husband Rohit, my co-star Sanjay Suri and me are April-born. We're all like-minded Arians. So it's the Arians versus the aliens on the sets of 'Alibaug'."
