Artist and creative innovator Shweta Mahadik unveils a striking and deeply personal concept, a live, beating heart crafted from red pearls and driven by a heart-shaped motor, symbolising emotion, vulnerability, and the power of dreams.

Conceived as her dream project, the beating heart reflects Shweta’s desire to blur the boundaries between art, technology, and human feeling. Designed to pulse like a real heart, the piece transforms mechanical movement into an intimate, emotional experience, inviting viewers to witness art that quite literally comes alive.

Speaking about the project, Shweta Mahadik shares, “It’s a recreation of the Schiaparelli beating heart. This was my dream project. It was my first time using motors and 3D printers to create the moving mechanism.”
