Shruti Seth started her career modeling for reputed brands like LG (with Abhishek Bacchhan), Mrs. Marino, Stayfree, Brooke Bond, Frooti, TATA Home Finance, Kinetic Honda and many more. Television soon followed with assignments ranging from anchoring shows to acting in serials like "Des Mein Nikla Honga Chand" (Star Plus), "Josh", Neena Gupta's "Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar", "Maan" and "Shararat".

At one point of time, Shruti was one of the most popular faces on Channel [V].

Her hard work, professionalism and confidence soon got her noticed by film-makers and she was cast with big stars like Kajol, Aamir, Rani and Saif in films such as "Fanaa" and Yash Raj Films' "Tara Rum Pum". The talented young actress talks about her role in Rajiv Nath's debut Hindi film "Anubhav" and.

Q: Tell us something about "Anubhav".
A: I am in the supporting cast of the film. The interesting thing about the cast is that we all -- Sanjay Suri, Gul Panag and myself – have been models previously. I can't reveal any more right now.

Q: What's your role in the movie?
A: I play Sanjay's college friend in this movie.

Q: How was your bonding with Sanjay Suri and Gul Panag on the sets?
A: Oh, it was a pleasure working with them. We had a good time on the floor. Every one was co-operative. It was a fantastic experience working with them.

Q: Tel us something about the director Rajiv Nath.
A: He is a very disciplined man, getting everything done according to his plans. Absence of confusion on the sets made work easy. The kind of rapport he struck with us was outstanding. The best part is he puts you at ease while working.

Q: How different is the film from "Fanaa" and "Tara Rum Pum"?
A: "Fanaa" and "Tara Rum Pum" were commercial movies, "Anubhav" is slightly off-beat. And yes, my character in the film is not short-lived, as it was in my previous two movies.

Q: You have got into Bollywood, so will you be disappearing from television now?
A: No, not at all. I don't think I will ever disappear from television because I know that television has given me a lot. Also, I personally enjoy working in television.

Q: You have been a model, actor, host and a VJ, which role did you enjoy the most?
A: None in particular, I like wearing many hats.

Q: Out of all the serials you have done so far which one did you enjoy doing the most?
A: I have worked in five serials to date, and they all did good on air and I enjoyed doing all of them. But my favourite will be 'Shararat'. Working with Faridaji was so much fun.

Q: You have managed to target audiences ranging from six-year-olds to grown-ups, how does it feel?
A: It feels immensely satisfying. I do feel proud that I cater to all generations.

Q: What are your other projects in Bollywood?
A: Nothing at the moment. As of now, I am busy with "Comedy Circus" and "Mum Tum Aur Hum". And I am enjoying being a host. -Jayant Mishra
