"Bhaukaal" on the Big Screen! Shooting Wraps for 'Mirzapur: The Film' - And Yes, Munna Bhaiya is Back!
It is officially a wrap! The guns have cooled down, the carpets have been rolled up, and the "King of Mirzapur" is ready for his theatrical debut. The makers of the highly anticipated 'Mirzapur: The Film' announced yesterday (Sunday, Feb 1) that filming has successfully concluded. From emotional farewells on set to the confirmed return of fan-favorite characters (even the dead ones!), here is everything you need to know about the movie that promises to be "bigger, louder, and bloodier" than the show.

The Wrap: "Golu" Breaks the News 🎬

The news broke when actress Shweta Tripathi Sharma (Golu Gupta) took to Instagram to share a picture of the final clapperboard.

The Post: She shared a group photo with the entire cast and crew, captioning it: "It's a wrap Mirzapur The Movie."

The Emotion: She described returning to the character of Golu for the big screen as "coming home," but with a "new energy and scale."

Shriya's Return: Shriya Pilgaonkar (Sweety Gupta) also posted a celebration picture, confirming her involvement in the film (likely in flashbacks, given her character's fate in Season 1).

The Cast: The Gang is All Here (Even Munna!) 👥

The biggest talking point remains the cast list, which confirms that the film is pulling out all the stops.

The Titans: Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya) and Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit) are leading the charge.

The Surprise: Divyenndu is officially back as Munna Tripathi!

Context: Despite his character dying in Season 2, the film (rumored to be a prequel or mid-quel) will feature him heavily.

New Faces: The film will also introduce Jitendra Kumar (Jeetu Bhaiya from Panchayat), Ravi Kishan, and Sonal Chauhan into the gritty world of Mirzapur.

Release Plan: Theaters First! 🗓️

Unlike the web series, you won't be streaming this on Day 1.

Theatrical Release: The film is slated to hit cinemas across India later in 2026.

OTT Release: It will arrive on Prime Video only 8 weeks after its theatrical run.

SantaBanta Verdict: Mirzapur on a mobile screen was intense; Mirzapur on a 70mm IMAX screen might just be deafening. With filming done, the countdown for the teaser begins now!
