The picturesque Sydney shown in "Dil Chahta Hai" and "Heyy Babyy" was quite a feast for the eyes. Soon Sydney Harbour and Bondi Beach might be some of the common shooting locales for Bollywood
movies.
As part of "2007 Indian Film Festival", being held in Sydney this month, the Australian government is making all the efforts to sell the harbour city to Bollywood film-makers as an ideal movie location.
Some of the leading directors from the sub-continent like Feroz Abbas Khan, Siddharth Anand and Shimit Amin are being taken on a tour of landmarks Sydney Harbour, Watsons Bay, Bondi, The Rocks,
Darling Harbour and the University of Sydney.
Besides stunning landscapes, Australia also boasts of a friendly and professional film industry, a wealth of creative talent and entertainment infrastructure.
"Heyy Babyy" was shot in Circular Quay, Hyde Park
and Martin Place over five weeks, pumping in $2 million in the local economy. Hope Indian cine-goers get to see more of Australia's breathtaking landscapes in the coming years.
