The Shimit Amin directed film won for Best Film (Gold), Best Director (Silver), Best Actor, Best Editor and Best Sound. Shah Rukh bagged the award for Best Actor for his powerful portrayal of a hockey coach, Kabir Khan.
The movie also bagged the awards for Best Film and director Shimit Amin bagged two awards for Best Director and Best Editing.
Best film and best director trophies were given away in three categories -- Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Some other prominent winners included ''Guru'' which bagged awards for Best Music, Best Cinematography while director Mani Ratnam bagged the best director (Gold) category award. Last year's blockbuster ''Lage Raho Munnabhai'' also fetched three awards for Best Supporting Actor (Arshad Warsi), Best Story and Best Screenplay.
Reema Lagoo received the best supporting actress trophy for her role in Marathi film ''Saavli''. Meera Jasmine received the best actress trophy for her role in Malyalam film ''Ore Kadal''.
Girish Kasarvalli won the best director (Bronze) for his Kannada film ''Nayi Neralu''. Best film (Bronze) trophy was given to ''Lage Raho Munnabhai'', silver to ''Guru'' and Gold to ''Chak De India''.
Best debut director award went to Sameer Hanschate for ''Gafla'' and best debut artiste trophy went to Roma for Malayalam film ''Notebook''.
