"She has the loveliest singing voice and has been learning music and singing in India and abroad for years. She isn't sure whether she wants to go into acting," says a source very close to Kamal Haasan.
Madhavan is very embarrassed by stories that he will soon be paired with Kamal Haasan's elder daughter, the statuesque Shruti in a film to be directed by Nishikant Kamath.
"I don't know where these stories came from. Right now there's no such thing. We can't even call the discussions to be in a preliminary stage. It's just an idea that my director Nishikant and I have got.
Beyond that everything else being written is fictional," says Madhavan who's all set to release the Tamil version of Nishikant Kamath's Dombivali Fast on December 7.
"I'm neck-deep in organizing premieres in Chennai and Mumbai. Why would I be planning anything else right now? Shruti is the daughter of a very dear friend. Kamalji and I go back a long way.
When I came into the Tamil industry from Jamshedpur there was a lot of resistance to my entry. Kamalji spoke for me, let the Tamil film industry know I was an asset. Much later we acted together in Ambe Sivam which he produced.
And the script for my Hindi film Ramji Londonwale was written by Kamalji. He and I are family friends.
We visit one another's homes and see all of each other's films. It would be an honour to launch his daughter. But at the moment we aren't considering the idea seriously," ends Maddy.
