"My book has been officially released in different towns in India, America, England, but I wanted to release it in Goa also. Chief Minister Digmbar Kamat is going to release it," Dev Anand told.
The book, featuring some rare pictures from his personal archive, was launched in many cities in India including Chandigarh, Madras, Mumbai and Delhi. Later, Dev Anand took it to Switzerland, Germany, Britain and the US. It will also be launched here at the 38th IFFI.
Asked about making a film on this book, he said: "I haven't thought about it. When the moment comes I will consider it."
Currently he is busy shooting "Chargesheet" and after that he plans to move to Croatia to make his English language film "When Heart Beats Are The Same".
"It can only be shot after winter because there days are shorter during winter. So after a couple of months I plan to start the film."
He refused to comment on his nephew, maverick filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, saying, "Don't ask me personal questions. I have not seen his films and he has not invited me either".
But he spoke very highly of his late brother Vijay Anand whose four films - "Guide", "Tere Ghar ke Samne", "Jewel Thief" and "Nau Do Gyarah" - are being screened in the retrospective section at IFFI.
Dev Anand played main lead in all of them.
"He was very talented and there is nobody like him."
Talking about Vijay Anand's unreleased film "Jaana Na Dil Se Door", the actor said: "The film is not with me. His wife and his son are looking after his work. So I can't say whether it will be released or not."
