The Investment: Gupta stated he invested nearly ₹3 crore, with around ₹1 crore spent exclusively on setting up and fitting out the retail showroom after signing a franchise agreement with Style and Content Jewellery Pvt. Ltd. (the licensed entity marketing Being Human jewellery).
Breach of Promises: The complainant alleged that representatives promised continuous stock supplies, dedicated marketing support, and strong brand backing. However, once the store opened, the promised operational support failed to materialize.
Inventory Shutdown: Gupta highlighted that the central supply outlet closed in February 2020, completely halting inventory flow, disturbing store operations, and causing massive losses.

Responding to the complaint, representatives for the licensee firm previously clarified that Salman Khan had no direct involvement in the 2018 franchise agreement signed with the Chandigarh businessman:

Independent Operations: The company reiterated that all retail, supply, marketing, and commercial operations rested solely with the licensee firm, and the actor was not a personal signatory or partner to individual franchisee contracts.
