Better known as Meghna Reddy`s sister or the `Aahista` girl (`Aahista` is the name of the Pankaj Udhas` album in which she acted), Sameera Reddy is all set to create an identity of her own. The lass claims that there was never a dearth of offers, but she never took to films for the simple reason that graduation was priority, and taking to films meant "a lifestyle change."

More interestingly she was even approached for Gracy`s role in `Lagaan.` Well, Sameera will soon make her debut on the big screen with Salim Khan`s `Maine Dil Tujhko Diya,` co-starring director-actor Sohail Khan. Having mentally prepared herself for both, the positive and negative repercussions of career choice, the Reddy girl says she`s ready now, and sends out a warning signal that she`s here to stay.
