It’s set to be an intense October at the cinemas, with Verity arriving on 2nd October. Starring Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson in the lead, alongside Josh Hartnett, the film is based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel and has already sparked considerable buzz with its gripping trailers. One moment that particularly caught everyone’s attention was the kiss between Anne and Dakota, leaving audiences intrigued about how the actresses are bringing one of the book’s most talked-about moments to life on the big screen.

In a recent interview with Extra TV, Dakota was asked about the much-talked-about kiss scene and had a playful response, admitting she would happily kiss Anne for the rest of her life. “I would kiss Annie for the rest of my life. Every day. If you need me, I’m there,” she said, before teasingly apologising to Josh. Anne also weighed in on the film’s intimate moments, joking, “We all kissed each other. It’s a miracle nobody got sick. Let’s put it that way.”

Adapted from Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity's chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.

The film is directed by Michael Showalter. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing International, Verity is slated to release in India on 2nd October 2026, in cinemas only.
