Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra is headed for an unusual destination — she's been invited by the Libyan government, headed by Muammar Gaddafi, for charity work."This one was for a good cause, so I decided to take it up," she says.
She'll stay in Libya for five days, visiting hospitals and meeting cancer patients.She'll also meet senior government officials to promote friendly relations with India.Priyanka's been involved in charity work much before she won the Miss World title.
She was ambassador for a Confederation of Indian Industry literacy programme, member of a support group for the thalassaemic children in Uttar Pradesh, part of the adult education awareness programme in Bareilly, a volunteer in the Polio Eradication Programme and a fundraiser for destitutes in Boston.
