Sanjeev - Darshan have failed to recreate the magic of Mann . All of their subsequent works suffer from similarity to Nadeem Shravan`s tunes and this album is no different.
Side A begins with Jo Pyaar Karta Hai which is sung well by all the singers that is Manohar Shetty, Anuradha Paudwal and Kavita Subramaniyam. It is a good song but with a feeling of déjà vu. The same is the case with Yeh Dil Mohabbat Mein by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Title song Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke has some spirited singing by Jaspinder Narula and Shaan but it fails to capture your imagination.
Current craze Adnan Sami has composed two songs of the album. The first is Aaja Aaja, which has his favourite Asha Bhosle doing the honors for singing. The songs sounds very much like Zara Dholki Bajao from his album Kabhi To Nazar Milao . This is not saying much for the talented composer now is it? His next song, Khoya Khoya Chand Hai, which has Udit Narayan singing.
In Halle Halle one gets to hear Vinod Rathod after a long time. Alka Yagnik accompanies him. Skip to the next Bam Bhole once again by Vinod Rathod and Alka Yagnik. One might be forgiven for thinking it is a devotional song. Infact, it is anything but devotional and gets irritating after some time. Mera Dil Ek Khali Kamra has Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal coming together. Very passable fare.
