/> Though it's enormously hush-hush at the moment, here's the news on the biggest singing talent ready to burst on to the music scene in 2008.

It's none other than director-turned actor Farhan Akhtar who not only produces and stars in Rock On, he also sings as many as four songs in the film. The film features Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny and Farhan as members of a rock band.

Farhan went into the studio very recently to record 4 tracks, all solos composed by close friends and collaborators Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

This makes Farhan the only director in the world who's not just an actor but also a singer....four times over. Exclaims Farhan, "Yeah, what a trip! Actually I've been playing the guitar for ten years now. In my late teens and early 20s I fantasized about being a rock star. This film gives me a chance to live out my fantasy.

So when the director Abhishek Kapoor met me and told me I was to play a member of a rock band and I actually get to sing my own songs I was quite kicked about it."

Farhan went into the recording studio to first try out his singing voice before actually recording the songs.
