After mesmerising his fans worldwide with his inimitable style and buoyed by the twin success of his latest films
''Chandramukhi'' and the magnum opus ''Sivaji The Boss'', Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is now being featured in a 3D
animation film by his younger daughter Soundarya.
The trailer of the film ''Sultan The Warrior, a full-length 3D animated film at a cost of Rs 45 crore, featuring
Rajnikanth as a charming warrior and loaded with his characteristic punchlines and mannerisms, was released last
evening.
The film is Directed by Soundarya, the Managing Director of Ocher Studios, teaming up with Adlabs for the film,
which also boasts of some big names like music composer A R Rahman, lyricist Vairamuthu and Art director
Thota Tharani.
Speaking on the occasion, a beaming Soundarya said ''we are the first in India to venture into a fulllength 3D film at
this scale on par with any other Pixar or Dreamworks film''.
The character modelling, texturing, visual effects, lighting, animation were all done in-house, she said and added
the movie would be released later this year.
It would be released in 12 languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English.
After three months of pre-production work, the actual making of the film began recently, she said and added that
there would be a heroine and a comedian too in the movie, but in fiction characters.
''I am a great fan of Rajnikanth and I love all his films. Sultan The Warrior will satisfy all his fans'', Soundarya
said.
The movie is a dedication to my father's contribution to the film world', she said.
''My father initially had apprehensions about my directorial skills. But I convinced him thoroughly and he is now
happy to be part of the project'', she added.
Speaking about Ocher Studios, Soundarya Rajnikanth said, ‘the company has skilled manpower and had already
worked for movies like 'Chandramukhi' and 'Sivaji', in addition to others in the past'.
Rajnikanth's wife Latha Rajnikanth, Chairman, Ocher Studios, was also present.
