Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan left for Mumbai today after spending three days in the Pink city.

The Bollywood icon arrived here from Shimla on February 4 and spent three days with wife Jaya, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya and friend Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.

He reached here to join them on son Abhishek's birthday amid reports of violence against north Indians in Mumbai and alleged attack on his house in the megapolis.

Abhishek is shooting here for a film. Soon after his arrival, the Bollywood legend was taken ill and was advised rest by the doctors.

Mr Amar Singh clarified that the Bachchans got together just to be with Abhishek on his birthday and rejected speculation that there was any security threat to any member of the family.
