For those who have been wondering where Mohit Ahlawat will go from Ram Gopal Varma's Factory, the shy young actor seems have re-discovered his place under the sun.
After months of hibernation, Mohit has signed a new film. It's the much-discussed Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Gajini which starred the Southern superstar Surya witn Asin.
While Asin reprises her role from the original in Hindi, Aamir will play Surya's role.
Mohit has been signed to play the pivotal role of a cop. Ironically he played a law enforcer in Ramu's Shiva, the film that saw the end of his association with Varma's company.
When contacted Mohit confirms this new development in his career. "Yes, I've been signed for the Hindi remake of Gajini. It will be directed by A.R. Murugadas who directed the Tamil original. For me the biggest thrill
of doing this film is that I'll be working with Aamir."
Feeling jubilant about the end of the dry spell in his career Mohit says, "I could've signed a dozen films after I left Ramuji. But I didn't want to make any wrong moves. Now I think I'm making all the right moves."
