With only 5 films under her name, success might still be eluding this actress, but Tanisha looks optimistic and happy about her 2 new projects, 'One Two Three' and 'Sarkaar Raaj'.
Here is a tete-tete with the actress..
Q.: What's the secret behind your beauty?
A.: The secret behind my beauty is my family and all the members of my family. They not only take care of my happiness, but also support me during my blues.
Q.: Please tell us about your character in the film, One Two Three.
A.: I am playing Upen Patel's girl friend, who wants to be rich within a very short period of time. For that, he goes on plotting and planning all the while and I get involved in those plans.
She is quite innocent, and can clearly understand that she is wrong in helping him out, but she is forced to be on his side, as he is her love. I enjoyed every bit of my role, as there is more of situational comedy in it.
Q.: Was it tough for you to enact the comic scenes?
A.: As I have just told you, since the scenes in this film has more of situational comedy, I did not feel that I needed to be more verbal in my comic timing.
At the same time, all my co-stars helped me out so much. With great Kings of Comedy like Suneil Shetty and Paresh Rawal around, I had a great chance to get things right.
Q.: Did you face difficulties performing in any scene?
A.: I did not experience such a problem. I owe it to my co-star Sanjay Mishra who made us work in a joyous atmosphere. The atmosphere after all matters a lot and I really had a blast.
Q.: "Neil and Nikki" was a slap stick comedy. And this film has a completely different flavor of comedy. What would you like to say?
A.: No, there is nothing like that. I think these two films have hell and heaven difference, even though there were few slap stick comic portions in "One Two Three" also.
But see, my job is to follow the director and I have done exactly the same as my director instructed me.
Q.: "One Two Three" is Ashwini Dheer's first film. He used to direct serials first, so do you think he did the film full justice?
A.: I think it's impossible for a director to do anything wrong with a star cast like Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Tushar Kapoor and Esha Deol.
Now it is up to the audience to see it, and put a stamp and say whether the film was justified or not.
Q.: In the midst of a huge star cast, do you think you can make a mark for your self?
A.: I think every character has its own place in the movie. Despite having a great star cast, all the characters get visible to the viewers.
And as far as making a hit film is concerned, a director has to know his duty towards each of his characters.
Ashwini has depicted all the characters very well and for this film, all of them are equally important. There was a reason behind me accepting this role.
Q.: Can you remember any funny incident during the shooting of the film?
A.: Yeah, I can remember one. It was when I made Upen really upset.
Actually we had to cross a small river to reach the shooting spot in Pondicherry. I and Upen were in a boat and when we reached the spot, I got out of the boat and walked away.
But unfortunately Upen lost his balance while leaving the boat and he started calling me. But I couldn't hear him yelling as because I have hearing problem.
Later on, I came to know that Upen abused me badly. But we made fun on that, too.
Q.: There are four heroines including you. Was there any misunderstanding between you on shoot?
A.: To be very frank, we never worked together. Our characters and scenes were so differently arranged that we never had any chance to work together.
Q.: You have a completely different look in the promo of the film. What's the reason behind that look?
A.: The film is based on the story of a single day. According to the story, I had to enter into a showroom. And just to get that entry, I had to get into that look. (Smiling) It's really bad that I had only one outfit throughout the day.
Q.: Do you think that heroines are equally required as heroes in the film?
A.: Look, first thing first, there is no hero or heroine in the film. We all are in the film as characters. And each of them is equally important for the story. As Laxmi Narayan is a character, Chandni is also a character.
Q.: Please tell us about your next film "Sarkar Raaj".
A.: We have completed the shooting and it will get released in May this year. I am not permitted to reveal anymore. - Rajnee Gupta
