Does Bollywood glory get into one`s head? You bet it does. But apna Chandu of Company fame is not like most of his contemporaries. For one, Vivek Oberoi isn`t the one to bite the bait of Bollywood glamour. "I am not new to the superficial glitz in films though I was always kept away from film parties," is how he justifies his standoffish attitude.

Recently in the capital to promote his most awaited film Road directed by Rajat Mukherjee, Vivek got undue attention from everyone present at a bash. So much so that even Manoj Bajpai and Ram Gopal Varma got sidelined. Now that can truly be termed "acquiring star status".

And was Oberoi basking in all the glory? Contrary to expectations the handsome actor avoided meeting the press and fans and instead stood in a corner "to look around for all the fun."Clearly not the kinds wanting to hog publicity at the slightest opportunity.
