/> Stories of Salman Khan's largesse are legion. Not content giving away wrist watches and gift vouchers for every charitable and uncharitable purpose, he has now started showing unprecedented genrerosity to his co-stars on screen as well.

Ask Govinda with whom Salman plays the parodic prankster in David Dhawan's Partner. After the limited space provided to the comeback dude in Bhagam Bhaag, and considering Salman's own experience with Akshay during Shirish Kunder's Jaan-e-Mann was far from pleasant, it seems Salman consciously decided to let Govinda take the forefront in Partner.

Salman has virtually allowed Govinda to walk away with the show.

Says the film's exuberant director, "Salman has certainly been generous, not just as a producer of Partner. But also as a co-star.

You know Partner is my 9th film with Salman and my 17th film with Govinda. They're both like my brother and friend. And I was a little worried what their partner-ship would look like."

Initially Govinda was apprehensive after being, in his words, put on a tight rein in Bhagam Bhag. But Salman completely put him at ease.

"I've never come across a more generous co-star and producer," says Govinda emotionally.

Says David, "If Partner looked so good it's because of the amazing chemistry between Salman and Govinda. Govinda has surprised everyone. But we also kept changing comic tastes in mind. It was a very fresh script on male bonding.

Not that Lara and Katrina weren't looking good. But it was Govinda-Salman's show all the way. Salman has been so gracious with Govinda.

Salman has taken good care of Govinda, never behaved like a star. The three of us are like one family. We hide nothing from one another. On the sets if I asked Salman to let Govinda take over a scene he gladly moved back.

'Theek hai dialogue de do. Wohbol lega.' That was his attitude. This casual generosity makes him so endearing."

Concludes David, "Thanks to Salman, I'd say Partner is Govinda's real comeback.
