It was a birthday Aamir won't forget for a long time. The perfectionist star turned 43 this week. Every year the actor keeps away from media cameras on this special day. But today, he made an exception.

At his Bandra residence a number of media persons and some fans had gathered to wish Aamir a very happy birthday. Instead of giving the paparazzi a slip, as he usually does, Aamir came up to them and spoke with a broad smile on his face.

He even cut a small cake with 43 candles on it. Reporters sang ‘Happy Birthday Aamir' after the superstar blew the candles. But ask him about the best gift he received and he says, "Kiran made a lovely card for me last night. She is a good artist and I really liked the card."

Apart from the birthday card from his better half, there's something else that actor is excited about. He is going bald for his forth coming film Ghajini.

"Bald is beautiful. I am going to lose my hair soon. Please take my pictures so people can remember I had hair," he says.

On the work front, it is also rumoured that the film Taare Zameen Par by far the best film that proved Aamir Khan's prowess in directing films will be remade in Tamil and will be under Aamir's own production banner. However he will not be directing the film, instead this part has fallen to the award winning actor-director Cheran.

If that's not all, the second change will be who's playing Aamir's role in the film. The grapevine tells us that Aamir is keen on having either one of the Tollywood superstars Vikram or Surya play his role. While the part that Darsheel plays hasn't yet been decided or finalized yet.
