Q. You are the host of Rock N Roll Family ka Hungama. What is the show all about?
A. It is a very interesting concept where three generations are competing with each other and as we all know India`s greatest strength is its family.
The show teaches us the strength of the family as we grow with the values of our elders and moreover the show has no trained dancers and it is fun to see them learning to dance and perform together like one family.
This will be a show which is based more on the behind the scene activities of the show..
Q. This is not a celebrity show, so what do you say about that?
A. Thank God! This is not a celebrity show, because people are also getting bored of the celebrity shows. Hungama is very interesting show with lots of emotions attached to it.
We have fun during rehearsals because when you see people of different ages from young to old, trying to dance with so much enthu, it is a real fun.
Q. How is the show different from other reality shows?
A. Other reality shows, first they are celebrity based shows and definitely it is nice to see celebrity based shows, but to know real stories of real people is interesting with real emotions attached to it without any manufactured emotions.
Hungama has12 families out of which there will be one winner whose performance will be best. It will help strengthen the bonding of the families amongst each other. The concept of the show is very nice and I think it is the USP of the show.
Q. Since you are in a reality show now, how do you take out time to shoot for your other projects?
A. Women are multi tasking, they do many things together. I do reality shows, look after my house, sit with my daughter for her exams and work in all other projects. I think women are really blessed in that matter.
Q. After Nach Baliye, you are not seen in any other reality shows. What is the reason behind that?
A. Nach Baliye was a nice experience but frankly, I got frightened. After Nach Baliye, I got a zor ka jhatka, so I have decided to take a break and then I may do those kind of shows in future.
If something good comes in future, I will do that but for the time being I am very busy; it won't be possible for me to take out time for those kind of reality shows.
Q. Any other projects you are working in?
A. I am working on lot of projects these days, so it has become difficult for me to take out time.
I am doing a show in DD1 called Astitwa Ek Pehchan, then I am doing Naagin on ZeeTV, then it is Rock n Roll Family ka Hungama on Zee, Madhur Bhandagarh`s Fashion and two new films, three new anchoring shows about which I will be speaking to the press later. I enjoy my work. I like to get busy.
Q. After Krrish weren`t you been approached by Rakesh Roshan for Krazzy4?
A. To be honest, no. I am very close to Rakesh ji and I know that if he feels that there is something suitable for me, then he will definitely approach me. I don't have to ask him for that.
I think he had nothing to offer me in Krazzy4. I believe in destiny so when destiny will have something to offer, then it will come to me and I am also not in a hurry, things will come to me when the time for it comes.
Q. How do you differentiate between Reality based shows and other television shows?
A. Reality shows show the real aspects of life which I think is very important for the people, so I feel it is wonderful that we are having reality based shows. It is a new and a good trend which is being started which we don't see in any other programs. So I like reality based shows.
Q According to you, what is the best way to play Holi?
A. I love Holi but I don't like misbehaviors. People should not misbehave with women while playing Holi. Holi should not be used as an excuse to misbehave with any woman.
People coming together, strengthening their bond during holi is a very wonderful thing and above all, I like to play with colors, I don't have any problem with that.- Sabir Rahaman
