"Recently, a fan in London came up to me to sign a book. When I saw what it was, I nearly jumped out of my skin," she says and adds, "It was a biography on me. That's how I first came to know about it.
I turned to my friend who was with me and asked, 'Has someone really written a book on me'?"
The book which released in UK is now also available in India. But Shilpa says, "The author has never met me. I don't know who she is. She knows me only from what she has seen of me on 'Big Brother'.
The rest she seems to have dug out of magazines in Mumbai and abroad. That isn't the way to write a biography, is it? Frankly I don't want to give this book any importance by talking about it."
So can Shilpa be expected to release an 'authorized' biography or pen an autobiography in the near future? "Not right now," she quips.
"I haven't achieved anything that warrants an autobiography. Maybe, when I'm 50, I'd be ambitious enough to put my story down on paper. Right now, I'm too busy living my life to brood about it."
The actress is currently in Miami, shooting a 'special song' with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in Karan Johar's home production 'Dostana'.
"If her UP-Bihar song rocked and lootofyed the nation, this one should rock a reasonable part of the world," says her upbeat publicist Dale Bhagwagar.
Shilpa's other forthcoming movies will witness her in completely different roles. Sunny Deol's next directorial venture 'The Man' (co-directed by Neeraj Pathak) will see her playing a role very close to her real life experience last year.
Her character portrays the meteoric rise of a simple but dedicated girl to instant global stardom.
Filmmaker Uru Patel's international flick 'Hanuman' will feature her in the role of Goddess Sita, with Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves being tipped to play Lord Ram.
And finally, the actress will soon begin a big budget two-heroine action-comedy to be made by her production house S2 Global Productions with some top-of-the-line international technicians as part of her crew.
Way to go!
