Karisma Kapoor is going to be seen in a suspense thriller for the first time. She is playing the central role in stuntman-turned-director Tinu Verma`s Baaz - A Bird in Danger. The film also marks Tinu`s debut as a producer.Karisma, who of late has not been seen on the screen, is playing an architect in this film which pairs her with Dino Morea. This is Dino`s third film. His debut, Raaz, was a superhit. His second film, Gunaah, which has him opposite his Raaz co-star Bipasha Basu, is ready for release.
When asked whether he would get back to modelling, Dino said, `I am tied up with acting assignments. I don`t have time for modelling.`The mahurat of the film was held at Filmistan Studio, Mumbai. Director Raj Kumar Santoshi, who was the chief guest, gave the inaugural clap. A confrontation scene between Jackie Shroff, Karisma and Dino was canned on the occasion. The film also stars Suniel Shetty. But he couldn`t make it to the mahurat.
On his role Jackie said, `I`m playing a rich guy. I can`t say more than that because it`s a suspense film.` Jackie, whose association with Tinu goes back to his debut days, said in his normal light-hearted manner, `Tinuda taught me stunts. While training me for Hero, he gave me a near-fracture!` Tinu, on his part, said his lead actors Karisma and Jackie were so thrilled with the story that while the former `slashed her price for the film` all that Jackie demanded was one rupee `in a lifafa (envelope)!`
