But according to Vivek's new publicist Dale Bhagwagar, the actor has declined the offer. "Vivek has already worked with Mohanlal in 'Company'. He was indeed offered this one too. But he's not doing it," he said.
The actor has recently bagged Karan Johar's untitled home production to be directed by Rensil D'Silva (screenwriter of 'Rang De Basanti'), where he will be starring in the lead along with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Popcorn Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Limited's 'Mission Istanbul' directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starring Vivek along with Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan and Shriya Saran, is nearing release.
Earlier, Vivek has won critical acclaim for his performances in films including 'Company', 'Saathiya', 'Kisna', 'Dum', 'Masti', 'Yuva', 'Kaal', 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na', 'Omkara' and 'Shootout at Lokhandwala'.
