'I actually received a three-page letter from a girl who wrote that I shouldn't have expressed my crush for Mandira (Bedi) on the show. She also wrote that she has sent a good luck charm - a ring for me.
'On getting the ring checked by a jeweller, I found out that it is real gold and worth Rs.10,000,' he told via phone from Mumbai.
Vaidya had confessed to his feelings for Mandira on the last episode of the show.
He has now worn the ring to let his fan know that he has accepted the lucky charm and wants her to write back with her name.
Vaidya had also regaled audiences and judges with his mellifluous voice in the first season of Sony TV's musical reality show 'Indian Idol'.
