Reality shows are the order of the day as present Indian television viewers want a break from predictable and lingering daily soaps, says actor-filmmaker Sachin Pilgaonkar.
"Reality shows have a surprise element in them and do not drag on for long. It is this reason that audiences have taken to reality shows in a big way," Sachin told. Speaking about his last release "Amhi Satpute",
Sachin said it launched the same week as of IPL last month and the weekend shows suffered.
"But now in the third week, even the last show is going houseful," he said and attributed the same to word-of-mouth publicity.
He said "Krazy Kiya Re", the reality show on Sab TV will be on air from May 9 at 8 pm every Friday, in which he and Perizaad will be judging the show.
Talking to reporters earlier, Anooj Kapoor, business head of SAB TV said: "With music as the core, our show with its whacky content and crazy twists will surely break the clutter with its never seen before fresh
treatment.
In addition, Perizaad and Sachin, as the judges have not only a keen musical ear but are also well versed with many languages."
