"Even established actors like Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan feature in multi-starrers. Such movies have more performances for the viewers to watch and enjoy along with a decorated script," Sudhanshu told on phone from Mumbai.
He says he would be a part of a movie as the lead only when he has faith in the script.
The actor, who has signed a three-film contract with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, has already showcased his acting prowess in the first film of the lot, "Dus Kahaniyaan", which featured Mandira Bedi, Arbaaz Khan, Dia Mirza and Manoj Bajpai among others.
After completing "Alibaug", also starring Sanjay Dutt, Gul Panag and Mandira Bedi, he is likely to start shooting for the third movie, which he says will have "high class action".
The actor will also be seen in the Anees Bazmee-directed action-comedy film "Singh Is King", which has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.
"In 'Singh is King', I play a sardar who is a part of a mafia gang. It was a great experience working for the movie, and especially with Akshay (Kumar), whom I treat as an elder brother," he said.
The movie to be released in August this year will have a star cast comprising Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia and Om Puri apart from Sudhanshu.
Sudhanshu has showcased his talent in many arenas and he reasons that the field of performing arts, which he is part of, includes all.
"I am not just an actor, I am a performer. I will do everything to the best of my abilities. I love doing action sequences. I did 'The Myth' with my favourite action actor Jackie Chan," he said.
Although he has featured in TV serials like "Akela", "Beta" and "Yeh Meri Life Hai", Sudhanshu maintains he is better suited for films.
"I feel more comfortable in a film atmosphere. I have done very select stuff on TV. I cannot work 24X7, five years at a stretch of my life. A person has to have that kind of mindset and willpower to do so.
"An actor has to whet his skills and spend and invest a lot of time to be remembered for the work he or she does. So, it's quality work for me," he said.
He was formerly a member of the music group Band of Boys and is still active on the singing front.
"Apart from 'Dus Kahaniyaan', I have also sung in 'Alibaug' and hope to cut an album which will be big and different," he said. Asked to define different and big, Sudhanshu said: "I don't want to cheat my audiences with fake music. I want to make music which touches my listeners' heart."
With his kitty full of so many things, he is most eager about his wife, expecting their second child.
