The handsome Fardeen Khan hasn`t had much luck at the box office lately. Papa Feroz Khan is a worried man. So he sought a meeting with Ram Gopal Varma, who gave Fardeen`s nondescript career a boost a couple of years ago with Jungle.

An announcement the next morning revealed what the meeting was about. Fardeen has been penciled in to play a negative character in Ramu`s next film, Bhoot. The film will feature an array of stars - Ajay Devgan, Urmila Matondkar, Nana Patekar, Seema Biswas, Rekha and Victor Banerjee.

Fardeen`s decision to play a baddie clearly stems from despair. Ramu delivers films that are talked about and the `flop` actor was desperate to be cast in Bhoot. The only role going was that of negative character. Fardeen had no choice but to accept whatever was available. That is what the desire to survive can do to an actor. What remains to be seen now is whether Ramu can revive the `ghost` of Fardeen`s dying career!
