Soap opera queen Ekta Kapoor has changed the title of her much talked about 'Mahabharata' to 'Kahani Hamare Mahabharat Ki' as the former was registered with B.R. Chopra Productions -- this also gave her an opportunity to insert her lucky 'K' in the title.

'I never thought of associating 'K' with 'Mahabharata' but then as the original title was registered with B.R. Chopra Productions, I was compelled to change the title, ' Ekta was earlier quoted as saying.

She said after finalising the new title, she sent it to her astrologer Sunita Menon and her numerologist Sanjay B. Jumaani for approval.

'After she (Sunita) validated it on a positive note, I took advice from Sanjay B. Jumaani for the numerological aspect and by god's grace everything turned out to be perfect. I think my biggest project so far was destined to start with a 'K', ' Ekta said.

Jumaani, whom Ekta always consults before launching any serial, told: 'The original title 'Mahabharat' was not suitable for Ekta. It adds up to eight, which is generally not lucky.

'That is why B.R. Chopra also changed the title of his version of the show to 'Mahabharata' (with an extra 'a' in the end). That added up to nine which was lucky for the Chopras but not for Ekta. So I asked her to suggest a few more titles and we settled on 'Kahani Hamare Mahabharat Ki'.'

Apparently, as Jumaani says, Ekta also consulted him for the appropriate release date of the show. 'She gave a choice between June 27 and 29 and now the latter has been chosen as the compound sums up to two, which is really lucky for Ekta, ' he explained.

Ekta has always been known to alter either the titles of her shows or the names of her actors for numerological reasons. So far, with this practice, she has scripted a success story.
