Yes, that's what Mithun Chakrabarty has recently done for the love of his job. He did not wash his hairs for ten days during which he completed his part of appearance in Ashu Trikha's Zindegi Tere Naam.
Though it seems little off the image, the actor did it to keep the best look, as well as the continuity, for his character of a 65 year old musician. To get into the look he had to apply whitener and while he was shooting a crucial scene in Dalhousie, he didn't wash his hairs for the entire schedule.
Explaining the matter, the veteran actor says that audience will surely get the difference of grey patches between his make-up for different shots if he washes the whitener out and get his hairs painted again.
A satisfied director, Ashu Trikha adds further light to the matter, "We had to use hair whitener for Mithunda as he does not have grey hair.
However, as we were shooting close-ups he said that he couldn't wash his hair or else the film's continuity would suffer. When he got to know that we will take ten days to shoot the entire sequence, he told me that he wouldn't wash his hair so that the grey areas in his hair look exactly the same in every shot."
Hope the whole industry is getting the news of perfection and dedication of Mithunda. And now we guess no people will talk about Aamir as the only perfectionist in the industry.
