Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan will vie for Kareena Kapoor in a film being directed by Karan Johar's former assistant Nikhil Advani.The film, tentatively titled Kal Ho Na Ho, will be Nikhil's first attempt at direction. It is being produced under the Yash Johar banner.

Reports say that Karan Johar intends to participate actively in the making ofKal Ho Na Ho. He has even written the film's script. The story is believed to be based on a love triangle theme. Shahrukh and Kareena have acted together in Asoka and Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in which SRK played Bebo's brother-in-law.
