'Yes, I will be leaving the show shortly. It was decided long ago and Ekta too said she had no problems,' Jai told.
'I think it's the right time for me to leave the show because I feel there is nothing left in it for me,' he said.
Jai won't be seen in any movie or serial soon after leaving 'Kayamath' even though he has quite a few offers in hand.
'Though I do have many offers for movies as well as soaps, nothing has been decided as yet,' he quipped.
The actor now wants to play a character that would be totally different from what he played in 'Kayamath' that was aired on STAR Plus.
Jai also refused Ekta's offer to act in her 'Kahani Hamarey Mahabharat Ki'. So was there a tiff between him and the soap queen?
'This is not at all true. We share a good understanding and, moreover, she always respects my decision,' the actor maintained.
'I wanted to leave the show, that's why I am leaving it and, as far as 'Mahabharat' is concerned, I declined because I would have felt very uncomfortable acting after wearing crowns and other props,' he clarified.
The actor believes there is no point in spoiling relations with anyone since the industry is a very small place and one is sure to come face-to-face with one's previous co-workers again.
'I can't say about how and when I'll make an exit, but it would be done in a very interesting way,' Jai revealed.
The actor, who took part in the dance show 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja', is all set for another reality show.
'I will be participating in 'Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket', which is jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Popcorn Entertainment,' he said.
The show is a competition of dancing as well as acting skills.
