Mehraj Sheikh, ex-husband of aspiring actress and bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's close friend Manyata, was today re-arrested from the office of a news channel after he escaped from the custody of Hyderabad police.

After escaping from custody, Mehraj had meal in a five-star hotel with the escorting team, and then landed up in news channel office for an interview from where he was re-arrested.

Mehraj, who is facing charges of extortion from bollywood actresses had been languishing in Arthor Jail.

Recently, he was taken to Hyderabad in a case registered there.

After interrogation, he was brought to Mumbai today by bus and he got down at Chembur in eastern suburb.

After alighting from the bus, he told the escorting team that he was supposed to meet someone near Taj Land hotel at Bandra.

They went to the Hotel, had liquor and meal but Mehraj fled from the spot.

In the meantime, Mehraj called Star News stating he was released on bail and that he wanted to give an interview to get the custody of his kin.

The Channel cross-checked with jail authorities and informed the police that Mehraj was coming over for an interview to their studio, where the police finally managed to nab him.
