Dreamgirl Hema Malini, despite being a Tamilian, has done just a dance number in a Tamil film called Ithu Sathyam. Now, her daughter Esha, who all along mainitained that she was not keen on working in Tamil films, has decided to try her luck down South.

Her decision seems to have been influenced by the fate of her Hindi films, considering all three of them, Koi Mere Dil De Pooche, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and the recently released Kya Dil Ne Kaha have flopped miserably. The film, Isai, is a romantic musical which will star her opposite Vijay, the latest heart throb in Tamil films. Though not much is known about the film, it is believed that a young, hot and happening director will call the shots. This film will give Esha a chance to showcase her dancing and acting talents down south.

Though Amma Hema Malini had been cast in the lead in Ithu Sathyam, she was unceremoniously dropped as the director considered her `too thin`. She was replaced by Jayalalitha, and the film went on to become a huge hit. Here`s hoping the film gives beti Esha the much required hit her career needs.
