Mahesh Bhatt`s Vishesh Entertainment has roped in Dino and Bipasha once again after tasting the success of their previous `Raaz`, directed by Vikram Bhatt. But this time Amol Shetge is directing the venture. Mukesh Bhatt`s `Gunaah` is a tale of forbidden love. The music score is composed by Anand Raaj Anand & Sajid Wajid duo, while Late Anand Bakshi and Praveen Bhardwaj pen the lyrics.

`Humne tumko dil ye de diya`, the first number of the album might give you hints of Raaz`s popular song `Aapke pyaar mein`. The lyrics are not extra ordinary but not bad too for a romantic song. The song does not seem to be for a very happy mood though. The music is good and different from the regular. The song is rendered by Alka Yagnik & Babul Supriyo. The same song is repeated in the album.

Alka Yagnik and sing `Jab dil churaya`. Babul has sung more like Kumar Sanu, one might mistake him for Sanu. The music is okay with its highs and lows, few soft lines and some taking to the peak. This is yet another romantic number which has good lyrics but very similar to the previous one. The next in line is `Sajana saajna` again by Alka Yagnik but this time pairing with Abhijeet. Well, add one more number in the sequence of romantic songs with almost same feel. Abhijeet is very typical in rendition of his piece. There is nothing much in lyrics or music, an okay song.

`Dil ne kaha` is a solo number by Sonu Nigam. A slow paced number in the beginning, which picks slowly. The lyric is okay and is suppressed by the music. At times the song is unusually slow and the words are stretched just for the heck of it. The lyric for this song is penned by Faiz Anwar. `Rooth kar hum` is a typical Kawwali type song. Rendered by the specialists Sabri Brothers with Roop Kumar Rathod. The song is of a totally different genre. Suddenly one would find pieces of western music. Towards the end, the song picks up great pace like in kawwali`s. Overall the song is just okay.

`Theme of Gunaah` is an instrumental number. Surprisingly the theme does not match with the rest of the music. The number has some yuddling rendition by Sunidhi Chauhan a couple of times. This seems to be filler. The album ends with `Mere dil pe kisine` rendered by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. The song is a romantic number, but this time seems to be depicting some happiness. Acceptance of love may be... The lyric is just okay accompanied with just okay music.

It`s a Mahesh Bhatt film, and he does not settle for less. The music might not be great but not bad too. One might like it if the choice is to listen to some sad romantic numbers. All in all an okay album.
