The actor has previously worked in a Punjabi movie Yaar Naala Bahar and also shared the screen space with Shahrukh Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Sania Mirza while shooting for various commercials. Let's see what Sharhaan has to say about his debut film and many more.
Q. Tell us something about your film Back to Honeymoon...
A. It is a comedy drama and a story about five couple. It's about five couple, one from China, a British couple and so on who go for honeymoon and stay in the hotel owned by Gulshan Grover.
Q. What character do you play in this film?
A. I play a character of a Punjabi guy who is very energetic and jovial. He interrupts in every ones life and fools around with others and at the same time don't allow anyone to make a play on him. He is very clever and smart.
Q. What one thing about this film attracted you the most?
A. Actually it is a comedy. I did one Punjabi comedy movie earlier with Jaspal Bhatti and after that I got this opportunity of working in a bilingual movie.
Q. How did you bag this role?
A. The director saw my first movie with Jimmy Shergill which I did for Yashraj films. In that movie too I played a Punjabi character. The director liked my look in the film and called me for audition and selected me for the role. I enjoyed doing my role and I gave my 100% to it.
Q. Any special preparations for the character you had to make?
A. Since it is a bilingual comedy movie, I watched English films like American Pie to groom myself in English type of comedy.
Q. Your experience working with your co-stars...
A. They all are new people and they are of different journo of actors. I really enjoyed working with them and it was a very good experience.
Q. Any interesting incident you can recall happening on the sets of Back to Honeymoon.
A. As I play a Punjabi guy in this film and had grown original beard rather then using make-up stuff. And after giving my final shot for the film, I shaved and when I returned to my hotel, no one from our unit recognized me. I think I will remember that for ever.
Q. How is it feeling to be making your debut in Hindi films?
A. It feels very good. It is a big movie and I am happy with the way it has shaped up. Simultaneously my ads with Gillette is also on air and along with this movie being shot in London, I have also shot for another Punjabi film in Mauritius.
Q. Your take on reality shows...
A. I feel they are good and I am looking forward to do something related to dance.
Q. The other future projects of yours...
A. I am doing a serial called Rakhi on Zee TV where I am playing the younger bother of Ayub Khan. Apart from that I am busy meeting different people for films. Sabir Rahman
