After doing a good role in Vivah, the film, she is looking for something meatier in the film industry. Let's share few moments of her tête-à-tête with Sabir Rahman in which she reveals her feelings about her character, the show and little more...
Q. How are you feeling that your serial Main Teri Parchai Hoon have completed 100 episodes?
A. It feels very nice that Main Teri Parchai Hoon has completed 100 episodes and I am proud that I am a part of this serial. I didn't think that we would reach this level so fast. It feels like you have just started the journey and without feeling the time you reached the destiny.
Q. Are you surprised?
A. I am surprised but more than that I am very happy because I have always liked working with the team of the show. It is complete emotion that you go through looking back and having flashes of all the days on the sets.
Q. After completing 100 episodes of Main Teri Parchai Hoon, you are now the part of it as a ghost, right?
A. Well, it is not a ghost first of all though it is a dead character which comes in the memory of my on screen husband. So he misses her in everything that happens around him. Now the scenes that are being shown are the scenes of how they met, got married and how they were so much in love with each other. It's really enjoyable and highly romantic.
Q. If given a choice in future, would you like to play a ghost?
A. If Ram Gopal Varma is again making Bhoot then yes.
Q. What according to you is the USP of the show?
A. This show is the story of a family. In addition it has a very good factor also about kids which incorporates about how they get affected with whatever is happening in the family. The show gives you the feeling from not only the point of view of the elders but it also shows how the adults feel about it.
Q. What is next on your to do list?
A. As an actress I am doing Har Ek Sapna and very soon I will be doing a reality show, too.
Q. Can you brief us about the reality show you will be doing?
A. No, I can't say anything about the show right now as I am not supposed to do so. I will open my mouth when time comes. But one thing can be said that it is a dance based show.
Q. Don't you think dance based reality shows have quite gone down to death?
A. Yes! They have. And I don't say that I am doing something different but I am and will be just going on with the flow of it.
Q. Have you already started taking dance rehearsals?
A. No, not yet. It is too early a period and we haven't started it.
Q. What's more?
A. I have been in television from quite sometime now and the shows that I have really enjoyed doing earlier are Jannat then of course Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki which is my first association with Rajshree Productions after which I did the film Vivah with them, then came Ek Radha Ek Shaam and now Mein Teri Parchai Hoon. So my association with them is very old and a very good one and I hope it goes on.
Q. What do you find so unique with Rajshree to keep working with them?
A. Apart from being professionals, they are very good human beings and you get to learn a lot from them about how to be a good human being. Like, I have found great inspiration from them about humanity in our society and lives.
Q. What type of films are you looking for?
A. Definitely some good and meaty roles after Vivah. It was so lucky for me to have got the film Vivah. I am definitely looking for something really good.
Q. Don't you think that today films being produced like a factory and the creativity has taken a back seat?
A. No. See, sometimes we can still say something about serials because the thing is we work under pressure in television but I don't think it is the case with films because people are experimenting nowadays which is a very good sign.
Q. What kind of roles you would like to play?
A. I am comfortable to play different kinds of roles. Today films are being made in different topics so it is nice to try in different kinds of films playing different and challenging characters.
Q. Your other projects...
A. Right now one of my Telegu films has released but I can't talk much about that and the Hindi version of it will soon get released here, too. - Sabir Rahman
