Meanwhile there`s more on `Ek Chhotisi Love Story`, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray who pledged his support to Manisha in her war against Nair, decided to play spoil sport at the last minute. He didn`t turn up at the special screening of the film. It was seen as an attempt by the Shiv Sena chief to distance himself from the controversy.

The move came after the Mumbai High Court on Friday issued suo-motu contempt notices against actress Manisha Koirala and producer Shashilal Nair for their alleged conduct in approaching extra-constitutional authorities to resolve their disputes over objectionable scenes in the Hindi film `Ek Chhotisi Love Story`. As for Manisha, she has now taken her grievance to the Information & Broadcasting Minister, Sushma Swaraj herself!
