The one common factor that binds actresses Renuka Shahane and Pallavi Joshi (besides the fact that both are exceptionally exceptional actors) are their electrifying smiles. And it is going to be these smiles that are soon going to electrify the silver screens soon, courtesy Renuka Shahane's directorial debut Marathi film Rita, which is based on her mother Shanta Gokhale's novel. Renuka said that the reason why she chose Pallavi as the lead was because the film is a journey of a girl from the age of 17 to 40. So, Renuka wanted someone who would look convincing in this vast age group and also be a seasoned actress. The film is produced by Pooja Shetty. Readers may be aware of the fact that Renuka replaced Pallavi in the famous sitcom Imtihaan while Pallavi replaced Renuka in the world famous game show Antakshari. It will nothing be short of a visual delight to see both the golden actresses sharing the silver screen!
