Television actress Reena Kapoor, who plays Rani in popular soap "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki", says she is a misfit in the show business because she doesn't socialise or party and is a pure vegetarian.

"When I was young, I used to see channels like Doordarshan or Discovery. I liked going to places which are close to nature. I'm a pure vegetarian, I don't drink and I don't watch any TV shows. I'm a total misfit to be in the television and entertainment line, " Reena told.

"But acting is my passion. So, despite being a misfit, I continue to work, " she quipped.

The actress was in the capital to promote Sahara One's new dance show "Saas Vs Bahu", in which she is participating with her onscreen mother-in-law Neelam Mehra.

Reena feels she doesn't even fit in the dance show since she has two left feet.

"I'm very apprehensive about the show. Everyone knows how to dance. Some have taken salsa classes, others have been a part of Shiamak Davar's dance school, but I don't have any training in dance. I have never danced before. I feel like a misfit in the show too."

Reena says she has a dancing phobia but has accepted the show as a challenge.

"It takes a lot of preparation and lots of hours to rehearse one performance. I take five hours to learn the dance steps, which others learn quickly, " she said.

The actress has been in the TV industry for the last 10 years, but it was "Woh Rehne Waali..." that comes on Sahara One that made her famous. With the end of her role in "Woh Rehne Waali..." and the commencement of "Saas Vs Bahu", Reena is quite content with her career.

"I don't have the time to do other shows. I can't think of doing anything else right now. This reality show is so physically and mentally exhausting, " she said.

Now she wants to be a part of a show like "Balika Vadhu", which is about the bane of child marriage.

"I've always wanted to do shows based on subjects like 'Malgudi Days', 'Tamas'. The authenticity and simplicity of these shows, the minimal camera drama and the way they are shot fascinate me, " Reena said.

She admits that the content quality of TV shows has gone from "good to bad to worse".

"People on television have stopped experimenting. There is so much competition nowadays that it is affecting creativity."

Asked if she is looking at Bollywood to play more meaningful roles, Reena said: "I'm not at all a Bollywood person. And if at all I join Bollywood, I would like to do offbeat roles like Konkona Sen Sharma does and the kind of roles where the script is the hero. Other commercial roles are not for me."
