First time director Sachin Yardi saw his C KKOMPANY arrive at theaters this weekend and undoubtedly, he is ecstatic about this huge milestone in his career.

"Believe me, it is a different high altogether to see your first film coming on the big screen", Sachin heaves a sigh of relief here.

Writer of films diverse films like KYA KOOL HAI HUM and TRAFFIC SIGNAL, Sachin is not new to coming behind the camera. He got himself some experience in directing ad films before making a full fledged plunge into movie direction.

"Both are entirely different mediums of storytelling", says Sachin, "Sheer duration makes so much of difference as you graduate from 20 seconds to 2 hours. Also, it is a different high altogether because after writing films for others to direct, in C KKOMPANY I got an opportunity to direct my own film."

Talking about his experience during filming C KKOMPANY, Sachin explains, "There is certainly an added advantage when you direct your own film. It is an altogether different kind of exposure. Also, what made C KKOMPANY special was the kind of people I was working with."

Please elaborate.

"See, I had heard horror stories about how it becomes difficult for first time directors to call the shots on the film's sets", reveals Sachin, "However, with someone like Tusshar (Kapoor) around, it was a cakewalk.

Ekta Kapoor never interfered while Tusshar handled the entire production, hence making me concentrate solely on direction. The communication that we had over the period of time was very internal and personal."

How about the story he had envisaged and what came in the final cut?

"Just as I wanted it to be", says Sachin promptly, "There was no communication loss whatsoever which made C KKOMPANY turn out just the way we all wanted.

There is always a risk of a director's interpretation being different from that of a writer but since I played a dual role here, the film has come in the celluloid in exactly the same manner as it was written in the script."

C KKOMPANY tells the story of three losers played by Tusshar Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Rajpal Yadav who become modern day Robinhoods after a harmless prank played by them. Starring Raima Sen as the female lead opposite Tusshar, the film also features Mithun Chakraborty in a principal role.

The film also boasts of quite a few special appearances from the likes of Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Dilip Prabhawalkar and Sakshi Tanwar along with Sanjay Dutt and Celina Jaitley. Film's music is composed by Anand Raj Anand and Bappa Lahri. - Joginder Tuteja
