Ranbir and Sonam dosti is finally back on track after a long cold war. The duo met at Saif Ali Khan's birthday party last month after a long time and bonded like house on fire.

Sonam arrived with her uncle Sanjay Kapoor and his wife Maheep and Ranbir came with Bips since Deepika was out of town. Once at the party and as the evening began to warm up, Ranbir and Sonam got together and soon were seen having a serious conversation.

According to common friend, "After doing Saawariya together for a year, Ranbir abruptly cut himself loose from Sonam. He had even stopped taking her calls or answering her messages. Sonam realised Ranbir was involved elsewhere and decided to stay away from him. And then they got talking at Saif's birthday party."

"In fact, everyone at the party noticed how they warmed up to each other as the evening progressed, so much so that by the time the party was over Sonam left with Ranbir instead of with her uncle," he adds.

When media tried to chek with Sonam she denied there was any tiff between her and Kapoor lad.

Retorting at the speculations, she told a leading daily, "I wonder from where these rumours about me disliking Deepika and vice versa come from! She is Ranbir's girlfriend and since Ranbir and I are friends, I know her like that... beyond that I have never got an opportunity to interact with her much.

She is a lovely girl and because of the stories created by the media about our rivalry it might get awkward for us to come closer! Ranbir is a dear friend and we all do meet up occasionally."

And reacting to allegations that she rejected film offers that involved Ranbir, the actress stated that the reason for these denials is entirely professional sans any personal disliking.
