The actor will undergo Friday either a radical hysterectomy or a procedure called smoothing the glands, depending on whether the cancer has spread further, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Her publicist Max Clifford told MailOnline that Goody went under anaesthesia at 8.30 a.m. and was trying to be positive about the procedure.
"I spoke to her last night and she was as comfortable as possible and trying to be positive but was obviously feeling very scared as any 27-year-old in that situation would," he said.
Goody looked in good spirits as she arrived at the Royal Marsden Hospital with her mother Jackiey Budden Thursday and is expected to remain at the hospital over the weekend.
