"Dasvidaniya", which means 'good bye' in Russian, also has Rajat Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. Directed by Shushant Shah, the film is set for an Oct 31 release.
The movie is a bitter-sweet comedy around the life of a man called Amar Kaul (Vinay), one of the millions of faceless Mumbaikars who makes a 'To-Do' list every morning. And one day he makes a list of 10 things he should do before he dies - things that would make his life worth living.
But why the name "Dasvidaniya"?
"We deliberately kept the title to arouse some curiosity among the audience. Besides, doesn't the word sound good to the ears?" said Azam Khan, of One More Thought Entertainment (OTME), which is producing the movie in association with Lemontea Productions.
"The movie is about how Amar Kaul goes about doing things he wants to do and the hurdles he faces while trying to accomplish those to make his life meaningful. The inimitable Vinay Pathak steals the show in this laugh-riot movie, " Khan told.
Ranvir Shorey, Suchitra Pillai, Suresh Menon and Purvi Joshi give Pathak company in his roller-coaster comic ride, while Kailash Kher provides the musical score.
